Course description:
This is an online course which requires a half day visit to the centre for final assessment.
Included are assessments covering basic principles of digital photography with the use of ICT. An introductory course which could lead on to further study at College or University. This course lasts approx 14 weeks
Throughout the course the candidate is expected to learn the basic functions and file formats of a digital camera, how to download image files from the camera to the PC, how to save and store the images to the PC, how to edit the images using the software package Adobe Photoshop 7, and finally present the finished portfolio via a presentation using Microsoft Powerpoint. Microsoft Office is also used to complete assessments.

Entry requirements:
No previous ICT qualifications are needed to enrol on this SQA accredited course.
Some knowledge of computers/Internet an advantage.
