Food Hygiene for Food Handlers - Online

Course description:
This course will provide the basic knowledge of safe and hygienic methods of handling and storing food. The course is suitable for everyone whose work involves the preparation or serving of food, of any type.

Course Content:

Appreciation of the elements which make up 'Food Hygiene'
Outcome of poor hygiene standards
Bacteria and their effect
How to control risks
Temperature control of food
Food premises, equipment and the utensils
Pests and their control
Cleaning and safe disinfection
Food Law, and the role of the Environmental Officers

Qualifications:

The Badenoch Centre is an all abilities sports centre.

Opening hours of The Badenoch Centre are:

Monday - Friday: 7.00 a.m. - 9.00 p.m.
Saturday & Sunday: 9.00 a.m. - 5.00 p.m. (Lunch 12 - 1)

2 disabled car parking spaces are directly outside the front entrance.

There is full disabled access and toilets/washroom facilities.

Attendance details:
Bookings should be made through the Learning Centre.

The course is done on-line and can be done from anywhere.

Tutor support is provided by arrangement at the Centre, or by e-mail.

Notes:
There will be a multiple-choice assessment as part of the course. This permits each successful candidate to receive a Certificate in Elementary Food Hygiene.
