Alcohol Focus Scotland
Course description:
Alcohol Focus Scotland Training Services are offering COSCA’s Counselling Skills Certificate – Modules 1 to 4.
The course welcomes people seeking to introduce counselling skills, or consolidate their use of counselling skills, within a voluntary or professional setting. Please also note that one day of the training will be dedicated to alcohol and addiction issues making the course particularly relevant to people working / or seeking to work with persons with alcohol / addiction problems.
This COSCA training succeeds at two levels - if this is your first experience of training in counselling skills and if you have undertaken an introduction course or some workshops in counselling skills, then this training is designed for you. Successful completion does not make you a ‘counsellor’ but imparts you with counselling skills and prepares you should you be considering entering counselling as a profession.

Alcohol Focus Scotland is the national charity for alcohol issues. The organisation was established in the early 1970's as the Scottish Council on Alcohol (SCA) and was re-launched as Alcohol Focus Scotland in 2001.
Alcohol Focus Scotland is committed to improving the quality of people's lives by changing Scotland's drinking culture - promoting responsible drinking behaviour and discouraging drinking to excess.
Our work involves providing information and training on alcohol issues, raising awareness of alcohol-related problems, and working to influence national alcohol policy.
