Course description:
ServeWise and City & Guilds Certificate for Scottish Personal Licence Holders qualification meets the requirements of the Licensing (Scotland) Act 2005 and focuses on issues surrounding the management and legal responsibility faced by off-licensed premises.

The one day course covers three key areas:
LICENSING LAW: Including licensing objectives, licensing officials, types of licence, operating plans, licensed hours, mandatory conditions, common offences and offences relating to children. Also covers other key legislation including, health and safety, food hygiene.

ALCOHOL: Effects of alcohol on people, behaviour and consequences.

SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY: Building on experience this course covers refuals of service, best practice, customer service and responsible retailing.

Qualifications:
Other Award Body : Successful candidates will receive a certificate accepted by Licensing Boards throughout Scotland.

Entry requirements:
No formal qualifications are required.

Course is most suited to licensees, managers, supervisors or experienced staff, looking to become personal licence holders for off-licence premises i.e. licensed grocers off-licences, supermarkets or any establishments selling alcohol to be consumed off the premises.
