Art - Advanced drawing and painting

Course description:
This 20 week course is suitable for anyone wishing to develop their skills in drawing and painting to a more advanced level.

Over the 20 weeks the following topics will be covered, providing the learner with the opportunity to explore the dfferent styles of famous artists and create their own individuality:

The Old Masters - different eras and exploring ways to work in the style of famous artists
The Impressionists - style and purposes of works, using acrylics and oils
Developing Abstract Paintings
Scottish Colourists
Modern Scottish Artists
Collage - using a range of materials and textures e.g. paint, paper, fabric, 2D and 3D objects, calligraphy or printed text
Working with imagination and fantasy
Painting from nature
Creating illustrations - making works intended for greeting cards, books, advertisements
Landscapes using false colours
Distorting perspective
Developint portaits
Modern Scottish Artists

This course is suitable for anyone with an interest in developing their skills in art and drawing, leading to further education classes at college and university.

Qualifications:
Company or Course Certificate / Diploma : A Learning Centre Certificate of Completion will be awarded to all participants.

The Badenoch Centre is an all abilities sports centre.

Opening hours of The Badenoch Centre are:

Monday - Friday: 7.00 a.m. - 9.00 p.m.
Saturday & Sunday: 9.00 a.m. - 5.00 p.m. (Lunch 12 - 1)

2 disabled car parking spaces are directly outside the front entrance.

There is full disabled access and toilets/washroom facilities.
