Crook Making

Course description:
This course is suitable for anyone interested in learning the skills involved in the traditional craft of crook making. Led by an experienced practitioner, this course allows students to develop the basic skills of horn and wood-carving. Students will achieve competence in a range of wood and horn hand-carving techniques and will gain enhanced confidence in using wood through developing individual ideas. Projects will be developed with the guidance of your tutor and you will also be able to draw on your own ideas, drawings, sketchbooks or other reference materials.

Non Certificated

Entry requirements:
There are no formal entry requirements.
The course is suitable for all levels of ability and even experienced carvers would benefit from this course.

Other requirements:
Materials required are: a sharp knife, a pencil and the crook material they want to make their stick out of.
