Introduction to Digital Photography

Course description:
Bring your own camera and learn how to take better digital photographs, transfer them on to a computer and other storage media, use folder management and basic techniques e.g. resize, touch up.
The 6 week course will cover:
a) How to use your digital camera
b) Use of tripod and camera accessories
c) Transferring images to a variety of storage media e.g. computer, CD's, Memory sticks
d) Understanding camera menu options
e) Transferring using a USB cable and/or a memory card reader
f) Sending photographs as attachments via email
Over the six weeks a number of themes will be included, namely:
Local countryside landscapes (mountains and lochs)
Woodland and forests
Flora and fauna
Wildlife
This course can lead on to further study in image editing using Photoshop Elements or Windows Movie Maker
Qualifications:
Company or Course Certificate / Diploma
Entry requirements:
This course is aimed at those with a basic knowledge of computers, having used some application packages
