Course description:
By gaining one of these awards, an Assessor or Internal Verifier is able to demonstrate that s/he has the ability to meet the national standards in all these areas. All awarding bodies require Assessors to hold this award.

The course looks at assessing candidates using a range of methods in their own workplace.

The main source of evidence of candidate competence for these qualifications should be found within the normal working environment. Accreditation of prior learning may play a part in the assessment process.

Qualifications:
SVQ / NVQ Level 1/2/3

Entry requirements:
It is essential that you hold a relevant qualification in the subject you wish to assess in addition, you will need to have arranged the minimum of 2 candidates to work with this qualification and you will assess them over 2 units.

Other requirements:
Previous industrial experience may be credited towards some of the outcomes or your ability to enrol of the course.
