Learning Provider Registration
As you would expect, there is a robust learning provider registration process for ILA Scotland and being able to provide evidence of specific quality assurance standards is a pre-requisite of becoming an ILA Scotland learning provider.
The registration process and the process flow are outlined in the Learning Provider Registration Process.
To be eligible for registration, you must meet at least one of the following recognised quality assurance standards:
- Scottish Funding Council recognition of good standing regarding Quality Assurance Agency (QAA) for Higher Education and/or recognition of good standing regarding the requirements of HM Inspectorate of Education (HMIE)
- Scottish Qualifications Authority (SQA) initial approval as an SQA-approved centre
- Approved learndirect scotland branded learning centre.
If you currently hold one of the above quality assurance standards and wish to apply to become an ILA Scotland learning provider, you can download a copy of the application pack from this site. Please note that you must have held at least one of these standards for the past 6 months.
If you do not hold one of these standards and would like more information, click here or call us on 0141 285 6104.
April 2006
SQMS certification no longer recognised
Following the closure of Babcock Enterprise Ltd, the organisation responsible for the delivery of SQMS audit services, SUfI regrets to announce that it will no longer recognise SQMS certification as being a qualifying quality standard for the ILA Scotland scheme for any ILA Scotland submission received after 5th April 2006.
Existing learning providers who qualified for participation in the ILA Scotland scheme on the basis of meeting the SQMS quality standard will be able to remain in the scheme until such time as their existing SQMS certification expires.
