Quality Standards
Registered ILA Scotland learning providers must, as a minimum requirement, meet one or more of the following quality standards stipulated by Skills Development Scotland (SDS):
- Scottish Funding Council recognition of good standing regarding Quality Assurance Agency (QAA) for Higher Education and/or recognition of good standing regarding the requirements of HM Inspectorate of Education (HMIE)
- Scottish Qualifications Authority (SQA) approval as an SQA-approved centre
- Approved learndirect scotland branded learning centre.
These standards provide a clear and explicit basis for understanding the quality management systems and processes which will need to be applied in your provision of ILA Scotland-funded learning opportunities.

To apply to become an ILA Scotland registered learning provider, you must have held at least one of the recognised quality standards for the past 6 months. You will also need to agree to comply with the quality standards at all times during your registration with ILA Scotland.
