Get your £200 towards learning something new
ILA Scotland is a simple way to get up to £200 a year towards the cost of learning something new. It's a Scottish Government scheme for people with an income of £18,000 a year or less or who are on benefits. The money is not a loan - so you don't have to pay any of it back.
Learning something new could help you earn more money, get a better job or do something you really enjoy. If you want to get back into learning then ILA Scotland can help you with up to £200 towards a wide range of courses. You can study with any approved ILA Scotland learning provider, including learning centres, local colleges, universities and private training companies. To find out what’s available in your area, have a look at our Course Search.
There’s plenty to choose from – so whether you want to learn something completely new, or brush up your skills to help you get on at work – why not get in touch with us and we’ll help find the right course for you. And, with courses starting from as little as £25, you’re bound to find something to suit you.
You can choose from courses in everything from Accounting to First Aid, Creative writing to Conversational Spanish.to Forklift Truck operations. And, as the money is not a loan, you don’t have to worry about paying it back. All you have to do is make a minimum contribution of £10 towards the cost of each course that you do (the total amount you have to contribute will depend on the overall cost of the course and whether or not your learning provider has to charge VAT on the cost of their courses).
