If you want to get a new job or move up the career ladder, getting the right qualification is definitely a smart move. But paying for the course isn’t quite so easy, and that’s where we can help. ILA Scotland is a Scottish Government scheme offering you funding for a wide range of courses.
- Anyone 16 or over, living in Scotland with a personal income of £22,000 a year or less, is eligible for funding.
- Get up to £500, depending on the type of course you want to study and how you choose to study.
- It’s not a loan, so you don’t have to pay any of it back.

Choose me for part-time higher education or professional qualifications
- Get up to £500 towards part-time qualifications such as HNCs, HNDs or degrees.
- You must be studying 40 Scottish Credit and Qualification Framework (SCQF) credits or more in an academic year.
- Choose from approved courses at SCQF levels 7-11 including HNC/HND Accounting, Business Studies, Social Care and many more.
